Dear master,

Did You also unzipped all necessary dependency packages for NVDA to The
source directory? You have to first unzip The dependency packages and then
You can start generate.py module.

I will be very interested, what will happen, if You will get Nvda run in
Windows 98 operating system.

May be, that some hydden problems will cause The Nvda crashes and deep
knowledge or Python but also may be that C language will be required to
modifi nvda to be usable with Windows 98.

So download and unzip dependency packages to The directory

C:\Programmi\NVDA\sources\source\

Then try run generate.py again. If no errors will occur, try run nvda.pyw
and if Windows crash dialog will appear, try to analyze the Windows
operating system error message.

You can download update NVDA dependencies, specific for Nvda by using
following direct link.

http://www.nvda-project.org/misc-deps/nvda-misc-deps_2008-05-29-01.zip

But please be aware, that even You successfully execute generate.py, some
hydden problems can occur and solving those problems can require deep study
of whole NVDA source and also source codes of libraries for NVDA, which are
written in C language. May be, that this complex task will be too complex
for You. Because NVDA is programmet for Windows XP and may be, that
reprogramming this program to be usable with Windows 98 would require many
hours of programmers work.

But I will be personaly very interested in, which errors You will get from
Windows98 operating system.

If I also can advice You, download The latest versions of MSAA related dlls
for Windows. You can legally obtain those modules by downloading The latest
awailable version of HAL screenreader for Windows, which is also compatible
with Windows98. Because I was not able to find MSAA for Windows 98 from
Microsoft WEB site, but may be, that somebody else or personally You will
have more happyness during browsing Microsoft WEB site.
