There is no formal method for translating these documents, as they are
inherently free flowing.

If you note which version control (svn) revision of the documentation
your translation is based on, you can perform a diff between that
revision and any future changes to the English documentation.
Alternatively, if you don't want to have to note which revision it is
based on, you can check when it was last committed and use that as your
reference point.
