Yes, i can confirm that the same thing ahppens.
However, for the time being, I've found a work-around.
Once you've successfully opned an Open Office document, press CTRL+F6 once, and NVDA should say "Pane."
Right after, press the CTRL+end or Home keys and then press F6 again until NVDA states the name of the document and canvas pane or something like that.

Since I cannot submit this comment directly through NVDA Trac, I just wanted to
confirm the same observation here with the latest snapshot.
However, it seems that JAWS9 has similar problem. So it would be interesting to
see if this is in fact a screen reader problem.
Also, I find that NVDA crashes whenever Control+Home or Control+End are
pressed.
Can anybody else confirm?
